An excerpt from "Debths" by Susan Howe was offered by Poets.org's Poem-A-Day on September 19, 2013. I right-clicked on "debths," and chose "look up debths." After thinking about it, my computer returned this answer: "No Results Found." The poem that follows the enigmatic title is almost entirely nonsensical, although, for just a moment, I thought I understood something in its undercurrent just out of reach--something about symbolic language and the language of art. Or perhaps not--the moment of clarity was fleeting, and I am not at all sure.
