Review of "He Stood" by Aaron Shurin
He Stood by Aaron Shurin was offered by Poets.org's Poem-A-Day on July 2, 2013. The poem uses metaphor to paint a picture of what it is like to be faced with a harsh desert environment but, although set in verse, reads more like a descriptive passage from a novel or even a biography rather than a poem.
